Capacity during peak season
When rope access technicians are at capacity, DDI steps in. One drone operator carries out up to 15 inspections per day. Our vehicle fleet operates across Europe.
No competing-expert risk
DDI deliberately does not act as an independent expert and does not produce expert reports. There is no conflict of interest with you as the appointed inspector.
Expert portal access option
Firms that want to evaluate the visual inspection data themselves can receive expert access to the DDI Portal on request. This lets you view and assess the images directly in the portal without DDI taking over the evaluation step. Available for a small discount on the inspection price.

In what format does the report come?
As a structured PDF per turbine. The lightning protection inspection report contains the measurement protocol with resistance values, timestamps, GPS coordinates and recommended actions. The visual inspection report contains defect class, position, size and recommended action per finding. Plus all original images in full resolution via the DDI Portal, directly usable in your expert report without rework. Details on the report structure can be found in the knowledge section.
Who produces the visual inspection reports?
The visual inspection reports are produced by independent experts, not by drone pilots. DDI provides the images and the flight execution. Professional responsibility remains with you as the appointed inspector.
Is a service technician needed on site?
No. Our drone operator controls the turbine from the tower base. DDI holds manufacturer-certified operator training for common turbine types.
How long is data available in the DDI Portal?
Free of charge and permanent. You can access all inspection reports and images at any time.
Can we evaluate the visual images ourselves in the portal?
Yes. On request DDI grants expert access to the DDI Portal. With this access you can view and rate the original images directly in the portal, without DDI taking over the evaluation step. This access is available for a small discount on the inspection price.
